Yesterday was a day filled with compassion, generosity, and community spirit as we joined hands with Afrikicks and the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards to host the 10k Meals Across LA Food Drive. We embarked on a mission to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate, and we have some heartwarming pictures to share from our memorable day of service.

Serving Hope in Skid Row

In the heart of downtown Los Angeles, amidst the bustling city streets, we found ourselves in Skid Row, an area with a significant homeless population. With smiles on our faces and a heart full of love, we served hot, nourishing meals to those who needed it most. The gratitude and appreciation in the eyes of the people we served warmed our hearts and served as a reminder of the power of coming together to support our community.

About Afrikicks

Afrikicks is an organization that has been making a difference since 2014 by collecting and donating shoes to those affected by extreme poverty in Niger, West Africa. Their philosophy of “Ubuntu” emphasizes the universal bond of sharing and caring for one another, promoting individual and societal well-being. In addition to meals, Afrikicks also gave away brand new pairs of sneakers to those experiencing homelessness on Skid Row during the 10k Meals Across Los Angeles Food Drive.
