News of the Ukraine and Russia grain deal will be greatly welcomed in countries like Ethiopia.

The East African nation was already struggling with the worst drought in half a century, a brutal civil conflict and soaring food prices.

The war in Ukraine and its impact on grain supplies added yet more hardship.

We travelled to the Somali region of eastern Ethiopia to see the impact on those who were already struggling to survive.
