In Ethiopia the civil war rages on. It’s a conflict that has been taking place behind closed doors for more than a year and with almost no news or footage. In the north-east of the country, the separatists attacked the neighbouring Afar region to break through a blockade imposed by the federal government. ARTE journalists were on the ground when Tigrayan forces took the city of Abala; under attack, Afar fighters and civilians took refuge in the mountains.
