A readout from the State Department said Blinken talked with International Relations and Cooperation Minister, Naledi Pandor, amid escalated international interest. These talks come as the international community marks UN Day, reflecting the official creation of the global organisation. A message from the Secretary-General says that now, more than ever is a need to bring to life the values and principles of the UN Charter in every corner of the world.
